The toilet is a daily part of everyone’s life, but not much trivia is known about this home fixture.

History.com for instance shared about who invented the modern flushable toilet. Plumbing Association of San Diego

“The centerpiece of today’s modern bathroom, the flush toilet has equal roots in ancient sanitation practices, Elizabethan politics and Industrial Revolution know-how. Primitive latrines that utilized a constant stream of water to carry away waste date back at least 5,000 years, and early toilet systems were used by the several ancient civilizations, including the Romans and the Mohenjo-Dara and Harappa of the Indus Valley.”

Serious stuff

National Geographic meantime put the spotlight on an international event called “The World Toilet Day.”  A/C And HVAC   

“The United Nations General Assembly established the day in 2013 to draw attention to the fact that more than a quarter of the world’s population can’t access sanitary facilities. This contributes to the spread of various diseases and malnutrition.”
